Today we make some candy with this fabulous DIY kit

Today we've managed to get our hands on these special DIY Kracie Popin' Cookin Nerikyanland soft chews. Great for kids and adults alike, inside are a collection of multi-colored chews and the tools required to mold them into whatever shape you may desire.

Let's get to work!
We're going to try to reconstruct Japanese characters Doraemon and Pikachu alongside Dutch bunny Miffy, who's also really popular throughout Japan.

We set about to work, using the handy wooden utensil provided.
After about 15 minutes, we've completed piece number one, a spitting image of Miffy.

Next we're off to attempt our recreation of Doraemon. Doraemon takes a bit longer, given the complex shape of his facial structure. But nonetheless we persist, and before to long we have it: Doraemon!

We still have an entire slab of yellow soft chew to use, and you know what that means… Pikachu!

Oh my! Look at what we've accomplished. Just goes to show that candy isn't all about glutinous indulgence, it's also about the joy of creation. Or at least that's what we tell ourselves before we devour these little candies.
