Winter desserts: Mango fondue in Harajuku

Home to the trendiest street fashion and pop culture in Tokyo, Harajuku has had its fair share of firsts-in-town. This time, the new dessert on the block is Taiwan-inspired Mango Cha Cha specialty cafe. Boasting the best mangoes shipped straight from Taiwan, Mango Cha Cha offers a range of mango based desserts.

This winter, the season specialty is the mango fondue; a luscious mix of white chocolate, cheese and mango kept bubbling over a fondue pot.

The sweetness of white chocolate and saltiness of cheese, with a tang of mango is about the most complex dip one can imagine. Marshmallows and crotons covered in this dip are bursting with delightful flavours in the mouth. Best served when the mango dip is still warm and bubbling. And for the extra mango punch, the shop also serves mango chunks to go with the dip. Definitely gives this winter a tropical twist.
