These collectible Yo-kai Watch chewing gum/eraser sets are distracting elementary school students across Japan

Japanese schools have a lot of rules. Naturally, one rule is don't bring your toys from home into the classroom. Well, toymaker Bandai has found a loophole. These little Yo-Kai Watch action figure sets are made of a hard rubber that can also erase your pencil marks. Next time your sensei tells you that you're breaking the rules, you can stare her/him right in the eyes and say "Nope! This is an eraser!"

The gum/eraser set is called the "Kunde Miyo-kai Model" (trans. "let's try and build it"). It's a DIY model kit and chewing gum set retailing for about 200 yen. The gum is terrible, in case you were wondering, but we doubt many people are focusing on the gum. If you've been in the loop on contemporary Japanese kid pop culture, you'll know that Yo-Kai Watch is king of the cartoon world.
