Get beautiful skin while enjoying a sweet treat with these healthy rose-flavored candy balls!

Japanese women take excellent care of their skin, and they're always looking for new ways to improve it. In addition to selecting the best skin care products, they also believe that the secret to beautiful skin lies within the body itself. Now, you can work on improving your skin while enjoying delicious candy at the same time with these chewy candy balls — infused with skin-beautifying collagen and hyaluronic acid!

These Fuwarinka candies by confectionery company Kracie contain 500 mg of collagen and 0.1 mg of hyaluronic acid. Collagen is an important skin building block, believed to improve skin elasticity and prevent wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in skin and provides plumpness and moisture. They've also packed 200 mg of vitamin C into the little pink balls as well.Vitamin C supports the work done by the collagen, as well as having skin-rejuvenating properties of its own. The candies are also low in calories, at only 129 calories per bag, making them the perfect snack for the health-conscious consumer.

The candies are rose-scented and rose-flavoured. Upon opening the bag, there's a definite hint of floral scent that's still light enough not to be overpowering. The candies have a crispy sugary shell with a chewy center. The initial taste is quite sweet, but sharp undertones come through as you continue to chew. They even make your breath smell like roses! The strong scent and flavor comes from the damask rose oil used in the candies. In fact, the geraniol contained within rose oil is able to alter natural body scent so that you'll also smell slightly of roses, too!

One thing we love about the packaging is the fact that the bag is resealable, which helps to prevent over-indulging. You'll often see this on Japanese packaging, since Japan is a country where people tend to savor their food, on the whole. The package is the perfect size to keep in your handbag for an on-the-go snack.

While we haven't chowed down on enough of the candies to notice any significant difference in our skin, we're still hopeful that they'll help us towards a beautiful complexion!

The candies contain gelatin, so they're not suitable for vegetarians, and they're produced in factories which also handle milk and wheat, so you may need to exercise caution if you have food allergies.

If you feel like picking up some of these tasty snacks, they're available through the Kracie Online Shop at 1,200 yen (US$9.98) for 10 bags.
